1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using HandNote (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. The App is operated by The Sky Bringup, LLC ("we", "our", or "us").
2. Description of Service
HandNote recognizes one Latin-script handwritten page on the device and turns it into editable text that you can correct, save locally, copy, and share. If you use Premium organization features, the recognized text is sent to our service so an AI provider can return an outline, key points, a summary, and study cards. The page image is not sent to the AI provider.
3. Premium Plans and Billing
The App is free to download. Optional in-app purchases are offered through the Apple App Store, including an auto-renewing Weekly Premium subscription ($1.99 per week) and a Lifetime Premium unlock ($6.99), unless a different price is shown in your storefront.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Weekly Premium renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Refund requests and billing questions must be directed to Apple. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where required: Apple Standard EULA.
4. Usage Limits
To protect the service from automated or abusive traffic, reasonable rate and usage limits may apply to online AI features. The App does not promise a fixed daily allowance. Attempting to circumvent service-protection limits may result in temporary suspension of online features.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Handwriting recognition and AI-organized content may contain errors or inaccuracies. The results provided by the App are for informational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional advice. We are not responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on the App's AI-generated results.
6. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by The Sky Bringup, LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any photos or content you submit through the App.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
- Use the App to process content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
- Redistribute or resell the App or its results for commercial purposes
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Sky Bringup, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App and related in-app purchases.
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain the App's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AI features require an internet connection and depend on third-party AI services that may experience downtime. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App's AI features for any user who violates these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App's AI features will immediately cease.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
